Hi, I’m Todd

I’m originally a child of the corn from Iowa. I love music of all kinds and have danced my way from one concert or dance club to another through the midwest, Chicago, and eventually landed in NYC in 1986.

Early on

I attended The University of Iowa and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the 80’s where I studied jewelry and fashion design that lead to a long and successful career as a Fashion Designer. My 30 year stint in NYC included Willi Smith, Liz Claiborne, Perry Ellis, Ralph Lauren, Levi’s, and a crazy licensing company called Briefly Stated. I started blowing glass at Urban Glass near my house in Brooklyn around 1992. The Stress of experiencing 9/11 firsthand and a job that required months of travel every year eventually lead me to leave NYC in 2007 and relocate to the Fingerlakes Region.

Current

CMOG Studio is now where I produce my blown glass work. I am so fortunate to have 16 years of study and studio time at Corning Museum of Glass. I have met many of my glass artist mentors and worked with and next to the most famous glass artists in the world. Powerful friendships have developed with the team I have worked with for years. I make jewelry in my own studio in Trumansburg. I sell my Glass and Jewelry at my gallery store 15 Steps on the Ithaca Commons. Fifteensteps.com
